Your Host : Ian & Glenda
Killin Highland Lodges and Log Cabins are perfectly located on the edge of the bustling historic Scottish village of Killin. You can choose to stay on site and enjoy a BBQ and peace and quiet, or take a pleasant stroll into Killin with a choice of 'Dog Friendly' places to eat and drink with many offering free entertainment throughout the year.

Muddy Boots & Mucky paws welcome. Killin Highland Lodges has 12 lodges and ALL are Dog Friendly. We welcome dogs and their owners (but with a few commonsense requests) e.g. the dogs are not left alone in the house, they use their own baskets to relax in and if you return with muddy paws & boots you clean them off outside. If you want to bring your pets please arrange this in advance.
Our Guests favourite "Local Things To Do".

1. Nothing in particular: Just sit outside in the garden, on your private decking or relax in your lodge and enjoy a good book, a nice glass of wine and chill out. Or stroll into the village for a pint or coffee overlooking the Falls of Dochart.

2. Tackle some local Munroes: We are a great base for Munro Baggers, nearby are 30 of Scotland's Munros (mountains over 3000 ft or 910 metres) For the less energetic there are literally 100's of miles of walks & cycle tracks from our doorstep.

3. Visit Glencoe: Glencoe is only a short drive away & is a 'Climbers Mecca' for those who enjoy tackling its many technical peaks. If you prefer to simply walk and explore there is also the famous 'Hidden Valley' Coire Gabhail where the MacDonalds of Glen Coe hid their rustled cattle. A visit involves a very rough but intensely dramatic and scenic walk. For the non-energetic a must visit is the award winning Glencoe Museum & Visitor Centre to find out why the MacDonalds and Campbells clashed.

4. Explore Scotland by train. Nearby Crianlarich on the West Highland Way has a railway stations allowing you to reach most parts of Scotland by train. Every day could be a different journey through spectacular Scottish Highland scenery. Easily reached by car or train is Fort William and Britain's highest Mountain, Ben Nevis.

5. Spend the day in The Trossachs: Only 30 minutes by car is Loch Katrine where you can sail on the 100 year old SS Sir Walter Scott, from there take the scenic Dukes Pass to Aberfoyle and spend an exiting day at Go Ape located in the David Marshall Lodge just above Aberfoyle.
