Orignally built 50 years ago by 2 stable lads in the nursery gardens of Stronvar House, it's been completely refurbished to provide a high quality country retreat. Whatever the time of year, The Lodge's idyllic location allows you to completely chill out and leave behind the stresses of the modern world. It sleeps 4 persons in 2 bedrooms, warm and cosy it has everything you could need for a relaxing break.

Stronvar Lodge is one of Balquhidder's best kept secrets. A perfect retreat for those looking for a break away from the stresses of modern life it is easy to find but hard to leave. Just bring yourself and your supplies. Stronvar Lodge comes fully equipped with everything you could need including a washing machine and drying facilities,a dishwasher, coffee maker and satellite TV. Plenty of space to chill out in.The south facing garden has a large grassed area and receives a full day’s sunshine. On the side of The Lodge is a raised balcony area with a table and chairs. Accessible from the open plan living area it is perfect for al fresco dining and twitching (bird watching) and spotting the local wildlife. One of our Guest's favourite things to do is "nothing very much!" Muddy wheels, mucky boots &are very welcome. Adjacent to The Lodge there is an outbuilding providing excellent storage space for bikes and outdoor equipment, plus hanging rails for drying your kit. If you do return tired and mucky all we ask is that you don't bring your mucky gear. "No light pollution here": Our starry skies make this a perfect location for 'Star Gazing' and you can't help but feel rejuvenated by breathing in our clear unspoiled country air. Balquhidder Glen is home to rare wildlife such as red squirrels, deer, otters, and osprey. It also has an abundance of beautiful flora and fauna including wild orchids. An idyllic location with so much to see and do. Balquhidder is the heart of historic Rob Roy Country, this and The Lodge's rural setting makes it a great place to explore much of Scotland. Here you have easy access to national cycle network 7, fishing on Loch Voil, hill walking and for the more energetic Munro Bagging. Fancy a treat? Nearby is the world famous Monachyle Mhor hotel, or a short drive away is their newest hotel, Mhor 84. For those in need of 'Retail Therapy' nearby are Strathyre and Callander where there are a great choices of Shops and Places to Eat and Drink.
