Road Access for Loch Chon: via the B829 (from the A821)

Loch Chon is situated between Kinlochard and Inversnaid on the B829 Road. The loch is popular for picnics, cycling, walking, canoeing and fishing. The Loch is about 20km away from the village Callander. Fishing is allowed from bank for  brown trout, perch and pike and the season is from March 15th till October 6th.

There is a great walk from just above Kinlochard which in recent years has been improved and gives spectacular views above Loch Chon and then leads down to the B829 near Frenich.
South-West of the loch is Ben Lomond, one of Scotland’s most popular munros for mountaineering. The path from Loch Chon to Ben Lomond is a good choice to avoid the masses of visitors during the peak season and offers stunning views on the Trossachs and Loch Lomond. To get there just start at the private road next to the B829 south of the Loch Chon wher the smaller Loch Chu is.
